Emma Chadwick (1855 - 1932) Emma Chadwick, née Hilma Amalia Löwstädt, was a Swedish painter. She was the granddaughter of Carl Theodor Lowstadt, a miniature painter and printmaker. She was born in Stockholm where she was trained at the art academy. She travelled to Paris to finish her studies and had success at the salon there.
